Jewelry and the search for the perfect piece of seaglass!
Sea glass. It’s not something everyone knows about. In fact, I have educated many a visitor to our little island about what it is and why it is so precious. Sea glass is a product of man’s waste turned beautiful by the sea. Heineken bottles, Budweiser, Red Stripe, wine bottles, so many, unfortunately, find their way into our beautiful waters. But, unlike plastic and metal and other items we humans carelessly toss into the sea; the sea has found a way to turn our trash into treasure (through no help by us, I might add). Sea glass is that particular piece of glass that has been battered by the rocks and the sand and the salt water and what the sea gives back is a beautiful piece of art. My friends Nina and Havis have taken these delicate pieces and turned them into something you can cherish and wear with pride. You’ll see several colors on our website and each one of them is a perfect compliment to any Island Contessa piece.
