Aren’t we all a bit Irish?
It’s almost St. Patrick’s Day and like all things in the Caribbean we celebrate our heritage. What? You didn’t know there were Irish in the Caribbean? O.k. o.k., maybe not but we do love a good party and if we have a chance to celebrate and laugh and dress up and drink some rum and laugh some more; why wouldn’t we do that? This is the picture last year of our St. Patrick’s Day parade when our family was in town visiting (my husband didn’t get the memo about wearing green) and as you can tell; we were having a great time. On my little rock, even if the only Irish are transplants and there really isn’t any strong connection to history here; we celebrate it right. I am looking forward to several of my stateside friends who make it a POINT to come back this time of the year and party in their best green finery. What better place to celebrate than in our sparkly place in the sun–St. Croix. Here’s to hoping your celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in style, wherever you may live!
Happy Tuesday!
