Perfect vs. perfection

This. This picture right here is perfection to me.  A beautiful woman (who happens to be my friend) wearing my St. Croix sarong on a sun kissed day at a beautiful Caribbean home (also the home of a friend).  I, frankly, can’t imagine anything more perfect than this.  But I know that beaches and warm weather and salt air are not everyone’s cup of tea. Some people like the cold. Some people like the mountains. Some people don’t want to be anywhere near an ocean.  What is perfection to me may not be to someone else.

The fashion industry has spent a great deal of time and money showing women a certain standard of perfection in sizing.  To be exact, they say that unless you a size 0 or 2, you’re not hitting the size of perfection.  Most (American) women are on average a size 12.  That’s what I am most of the time.  I zig zag from an 8 to a 14 but my sweet spot is a 12.  Its where I’m comfortable. It’s where I feel me.  As we add new pieces to the Island Contessa collection we are taking special care with our sizing. We want everyone to look great and feel comfortable, whether you’re a size six or sixteen.  This is resort wear after all.  I may not be the industry’s standard of perfection in my Island Contessa Anna wrap dress but I’m pretty close to perfect for me.  Come find your idea of perfect in our collection, won’t you?
